At 32cm across and 660g, this is one of the heavier lids in the Matfer Bourgeat range, built for large pans where a lightweight lid would rattle rather than seal properly. It's designed to fit both the Excellence and Tradition pan lines, so if you've standardised on either range for your bigger pots this is the matching cover rather than an oversized universal lid. Stainless steel means it's dishwasher safe and holds up to daily commercial washing without pitting, and as with every lid in the range there's no non-stick coating since it isn't needed on a component that sits above the food rather than touching it.
