The walnut-bodied Futuria M1 is the most expensive of the three timber options on this hand-operated grain flaker, walnut generally commanding a premium over lighter woods like beech or swiss pine. As with the other finishes, it's manually cranked rather than electric, giving direct control over the flaking process without needing it near a power socket, and the darker walnut body is worth the extra cost mainly if the look and finish matter as much to you as the flaking itself does day to day.
