This is the lever-operated version of hawos's 45mm Glass Tube Silo at the larger 8.8-litre, 50cm-tall size. The wider 45mm outlet is there for coarser grains and small pulses that can bridge in a narrower spout, and the lever gives you a quick pull-to-dispense, release-to-reseal action at the base. As with the rest of the glass tube range, you can see stock levels through the tube itself rather than guessing or opening it up, which helps when you're rotating stock or checking for damp. The 15 x 15cm footprint keeps it workable on a normal worktop despite the extra height over the 37cm silos, so you're trading a few centimetres of clearance for real extra capacity.
