The bigger capacity suits ingredients used more frequently or in higher volume, where refilling a smaller 2.6-litre silo repeatedly through the day would become impractical. As with the rest of the glass tube silo range, the clear glass body means contents and stock levels are visible without opening the silo, which helps with quick visual stock checks across a row of silos holding different ingredients. The bracket fitting here is the simpler of the two dispensing mechanisms in the range, as opposed to the lever version available on the smaller silo, so it's worth considering whether lever dispensing is available at this larger size if that mechanism is preferred.
